Our 7th annual DVSN East Cape Champs (ECC) for 2024 is set for 15-17 November 2024.

The event will feature traditional workouts programmed by 7x CrossFit Games athlete, @daveleveysa – that hold true to our sport.

Early Bird Registration Closes (Shirt) – Closed but we have made extra shirts. Late entrants will get shirts on a 1st Reg and Pay, 1st serve basis!

Kipping C2B Pull-ups RM – E2ndMon2ndM for 10 min (5 Rnds)


Score = Total Reps

RM – 1 attempt at a maximum number of reps

 

LITE:

Int1/2/3: Same Rx

Beg1 – C2B PU (P/G)

Beg2 – RR (1/0.5m)

Beg3 – RR (0.5m/0m)

 

Then…

 

2) Power Clean EMOM the following for Max Load:

EMOM 1,2,3 min – 3 Power Cleans

EMOM 4,5,6 min – 2 Power Cleans

EMOM 7,8,9,10 min – 1 Power Clean

 

Score = Sum of heaviest Lifts for each Rep Range (I.e. heaviest 3 – 50kg, 2 – 70kg, 1 – 90kg then score is 50 + 70 + 90 – 210kg)

Keep loading so that great form is maintained

HSPU (Men – strict / Women – Kipping) – To work partner must hold a HS (team mates hold)!

Beg1 – PU (ft/k), Piked Hold, 50/30kg

Beg2 – 40/25kg

Beg3 – 30/15kg

IF ALONE – 1/2 HSPU (HS hold time takes for HSPU), PC as is. (Note you did alone)

Dave has qualified 6x for the CrossFit Games and has competed 5 times! He represented Africa as an Individual at the 2012 & 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games. Dave placed 2nd in the Mens 40-44 yrs at the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games, 5th in 2019 and 6th in 2023 (45-49 yrs). He has coached a number of athletes to Regionals, including Eva Thornton to the Reebok CrossFit Games (4th place Masters 45-49 yrs 2015 /12th place Masters 45-49 yrs 2017 /1st Place “Fittest Women on Earth” for 50-54 yrs 2018).
