WE are EXTREMELY proud to announce our Head Coach and Affiliate Owner, David Levey, has qualified again to represent South Africa at the 2024 CrossFit Games in Birmingham, Alabama USA, happening 28 August – 1 September 2024.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Dave Levey (Men 45-49 years) who has qualified for the 7th time, the most by any South Africa individual in history.
Dave had to fight the best Age Group athletes in the world, over 3 Stages (The Open, Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals), to earn his spot to the CrossFit Games Finals. Dave’s performances in the Semi-Finals enabled him to qualify for the CrossFit Games Finals by placing in the top 40 men. There were 15800 men that started out in “The Open – Stage 1”. Only the Top 40 are invited to compete in the finals.
Previous highlights include Dave representing Africa at the 2012 & 2013 CrossFit Games placing 36th (out of 48000) and 32nd (out of 70000) respectively in the world in the prestigious Individual Open Division. Dave placed 2nd in the World in 40-44 yr age-group, in 2018, and 5th in 2019. Dave also qualified in 2021 but was sidelined due to an injury that needed surgical repair. In 2023 Dave placed 6th in the World in the 45-49 yr age group. As such Dave has a total of 7 Individual CrossFit Games qualifications and 6 appearances, the most for any South African and African athlete in history.
Dave is aiming for that title of “Fittest on Earth” for his age division in 2024. If you are interested in helping Dave achieve this goal, please scroll down for further details!
Dave is needing financial assistance AND/ OR product/service assistance (that can be converted into finances) to get to the CrossFit Games. The following are the estimated expenses:
