Head Coach – Dave
Our Founder and Head Coach, Dave Levey, has over 18 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Dave completed his Bcomm HMS degree in 1998, has a Masters in Exercise Science (cum laude) and Qualified as a Biokineticist in 2001. After discovering CrossFit in July 2011, Dave went on to complete his Level 1 Trainer Certification and open up his 1st CrossFit Affiliate (November 2011). Dave went on to win the title of Fittest in Africa in 2012 and 2013 and qualified to represent Africa seven times at the prestigious CrossFit Games in 2012 and 2013, as well as in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 (did not compete) and 2023. Dave was the 2nd Fittest Man on Earth (40-45 Yrs) in 2018. Dave has now also obtained his CrossFit Level 2 Trainer Certification. He is also a black belt (2017) in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Prof. Marcus Soares (Carlson Gracie Team).
Coach – Eva
Eva has competed in sport at an exceptionally high level through her life. As a teenager Eva represented Germany in gymnastics. She also represented South Africa in sprint kayaking and athletics (pole vault). Eva has completed an MA degree in Counseling and Sport Psychology, and a diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology.. Eva started CrossFit early in 2014 as part of training for kayaking and got hooked. Eva has also completed her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification and Qualified for Reebok CrossFit Games as a master’s athlete in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018! In 2018 Eva was the Fittest Women on Earth (50-55yrs)!
