WE are EXTREMELY proud to announce our Head Coach and Affiliate Owner, David Levey, has qualified again to represent South Africa at the 2023 CrossFit Games in Maddison, Wisconsin USA, happening 1 – 6 August 2023.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Dave Levey (Men 45-49 years) who has qualified for the 6th time, the most by any South Africa individual in history.
Dave had to fight the best Age Group athletes in the world, over 3 Stages (The Open, Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals), to earn his spot to the CrossFit Games Finals. Dave placed 5th in the Semi-Finals from out of around 16 000 men that started out in “The Open – Stage 1”. Only the Top 10 are invited to compete in the finals.
Previous highlights include Dave representing Africa at the 2012 & 2013 CrossFit Games placing 36th and 32nd respectively in the world in the prestigious Individual Open Division. Dave placed 2nd in the World in 40-44 yr age-group, in 2018, and 5th in 2019. Dave also qualified in 2021 but was sidelined due to an injury that needed surgical repair. As such Dave has a total of 6 Individual CrossFit Games qualifications and 5 appearances, the most for any South African and African athlete in history.
Dave is aiming for that title of “Fittest on Earth” for his age division in 2023. If you are interested in helping Dave achieve this goal, please scroll down for further details!
