1) In Teams of 6, complete the following:

60 x5m Lengths (10 Each) of Moderately Heavy Yoke Walking (rest while you await your turn)

 

Score = Individual’s Total Loading (5mx 10 x load in kg)

VERY NB – You should NOT be going for a max or near max attempt!

Sled Weighs 105kg

Sled plus Safety Bar Racks 135kg

 

LITE:

Load as needed

Beg1 – Females can carry a yoke together side by side (52.5kg each)

If you need lighter, set up a BB with KB’s hanging with Powerbands Doubled up. Walk from 1 Rack to the next!

50 handstand push-ups

50 toes-to-bars

50-cal. bike

50 dumbbell box step-overs

50-ft. right-arm dumbbell overhead lunge

50-ft. left-arm dumbbell overhead lunge

Men: 31kgx2 DB, 61cm box

Women: 22.5kg DB, 51cm box

LITE Options:

Scaling

This chipper is moderately long and includes some difficult skills. Modify the movements that you struggle with, reduce the reps and choose lighter dumbbells.

Int1 – 35 reps HSPU, T2B, SO, 50cal AB, DB (22.5kgx2/15kgx2)

Int2 – HSPU (1/2abm)

Int3 – HSPU (2/3abm)

Beg1 – 35 PU (k), 35 SU, 35cal AB, 35 SO (15kgx2/10kgx2 at 61/51cm)

Beg2 – 30 PU (k), 30 SU, 30cal AB, 30 SO (61/51cm), 30.48m Walking Lunge

AB sub – 600m run (Int), 400m run (Beg)

 Anyone interested in following our AFL Competitors programming who is not a member of CrossFit Algoa can contact Dave on dave@algoacrossfit.com for details & fees.

Dave has qualified 6x for the CrossFit Games and has competed 5 times! He represented Africa as an Individual at the 2012 & 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games. Dave placed 2nd in the Mens 40-44 yrs at the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games, 5th in 2019 and 6th in 2023 (45-49 yrs). He has coached a number of athletes to Regionals, including Eva Thornton to the Reebok CrossFit Games (4th place Masters 45-49 yrs 2015 /12th place Masters 45-49 yrs 2017 /1st Place “Fittest Women on Earth” for 50-54 yrs 2018).
