Dave Levey

Our Founder and Head Coach, Dave Levey, has over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Dave completed his Bcomm HMS degree in 1998, has a Masters in Exercise Science (Cum Laude) and Qualified as a Biokineticist in 2001. After discovering CrossFit in July 2011, Dave went on to complete his Level 1 Trainer Certification and opened up his 1st CrossFit Affiliate (November 2011). Dave completed his CrossFit Level 2 Trainer Certification in 2016. Dave has competed Internationally in CrossFit – He won the title of “Fittest in Africa” in 2012 and 2013, and went on to represent Africa twice at the prestigious Reebok CrossFit Games in 2012 and 2013 in the prestigious Individual Men’s category. Dave placed 2nd “Fittest On Earth” at the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games in the Masters (40-44 yr) division and placed 6th Worldwide in 2019. He is also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Prof. Marcus Soares (Carlson Gracie Team).
